There’s nothing quite as elegant as a pair of well designed black strappy sandals like this ones by Carmen Poveda. Apart from the squared off toe which is not the easiest of design to pull off,  it also comes with a funky cone heel and adjustable buckle. It doesn’t look heavy and can be easily worn to the office or an after five soiree. Retailing at £145 from Katie Long Shoes.
