A lot of times high heels can be good, in fact more than good, but on a cold winter morning as you are going about your regular business, flats can be a lot more practical. And these days, flats can look as pretty as as their high heel counterpart. For example the long black leather boots in extra wide fitting with an attractive lace up side helps to beautify what would otherwise be seen as standard pair of black boots, and the small block heel also gives it a bit of an edge over something totally flat.
