I have problems with fashion magazines offering boot style shoes as summer footwear. My understanding of summer shoes is when you expose your feet for fresh air whilst kicking thick tights and boots to the kerb. And if I was to vote for UGLY SHOE OF THE WEEK, these Hardwork Booties by Blowfish would be my first choice. They look somehow punkish with their button decoration on the outside. As tie-dye design is set to huge this summer, I guess it’s a good way of wearing such trend, if you can’t stand them on clothes.

I don’t know what you lovely ladies will make of this offering from Linea Paolo at Nordstrom. It’s called Alesha, retailing at $149.95. The striking elongated cuff styled with tie back obviously won’t suit everyone as you need to have the legs in order to wear these sandals. But if you like a sandal that’s a bit unusual and also has a dose of girly attitude, you may be a fan. What’s the verdict? Available in US Size 4 to 13. Also comes in black colour too.
