So it’s got to be that time of year again, when you look in my shoe closet on a brilliant sunny day, and soon discover that you have nothing appropriate to wear.

In an attempt to even things up in the summer shoe department, the first item that could go on the list of affordable must-buys is a pair of low heeled sandals. These ‘Babylon’ ones by Brantano caught my eye because not only are they colourful, they’re also on sale right now too, for £15 at Brantano in UK Size 10 only. Now to find your next pair… thinking some wedges perhaps?

Though it’s not always clear as to why shoes are given certain names, but I will have to agree with these flats sandals being called ‘Miami’. It’s the perfect flats sandals for the warmer climates and Miami seems to have all year sunshine.

The colour combination of pink and orange really worked on these sandals. Created from a panel of patent uppers, they also feature purple background and white stitch detailing. They’re on sale at Barefoot Tess for $109. They are other colour combination of white/chocolate, turquoise, yellow, chocolate dusty patent, metallic combo and natural snake.

I have just discovered a new online store based in the UK called Parris Shoes that sells Ladies Shoes in UK Size 8 to 12. Part of their summer collection is these fuchsia beach sandals with beads an diamante around each beads. They would look great with maxi dresses. It’s a sweet and cute casual sandals for the summer. Retail price is £28.49 available in UK Size 9 to 11.

I like these French patent sandals from Katie Long Shoes. They are really simple as far as the word “simple” can go. The have a delicate look about them due to the slim straps with the adjustable ankle straps adding a bit of style. They’ll be perfect during the summer for casual but pretty looks - it’s just a shame we’ll have to wait so long to get any use out of them as those of us living in the UK are not really in full summer yet.
