Gwyneth’s Animal Print Sequin Mary Jane Skimmer
I can’t get my head around the fact that these flats as Mary Jane. My understanding is that shoes with straps going across is known as Mary Jane. That aside, they’re totally cute and they’re retailing for $95 at Gwyneth Shoes in US Sizes 6 to 14 including half sizes. In a cool bronze metallic colour with tear drop cut detail, they’re a dressier way to wear flats for summer or fall, and the “slight heel” is generally more comfortable and supportive than a pair that leaves your heels pounding the floor or pavement all day.
I also think it’s nice how the embellishment sequins is visible from all sides, so in profile it won’t look like you’re just wearing plain flats.
Back To School: Black Button Mary Jane by Tall Girls
With the back to school fever in full swing, the credit crunch may leave some parents tightening their purse even more. As a result, I thought it would be sensible to go for a budget option for one of today’s postings. These black single strap Mary Janes are from Tall Girls, and while they’re never going to be the best made shoes in your collection, the fact that they’re only £27.50 (that’s affordable for ladies with big feet) and in a style you’re bound to get lots of wear out of before they finally fall apart, may just compensate for that. They’re also available in black only in UK Sizes 9 to 11. You can buy a pair from Tall Girls.
Innersole: Flat Mary Jane Rose Black with Peardrop Cut Outs
I recently stumble upon a website called My Inner Sole that seems to produce to some extent affordable shoes in UK Size 8 to 13 that would be suitable as a school / college shoes. With their very limited collections you have the choice to choose either standard or wide fit like this Mary Jane flat called Rose Black. It features pear-drop cut out. You also have the colourful patent leather version called Rose Aubergine both which are priced at £49.99. Rose Black is a sweet shoe for a young girl that wants everyday kind of shoe in large sizes but at the same time does want to wear shoes made for mature women.
Funky Style: Mary Jane Grey Flats
With the exception of the gathered detailing at the back, I’m not at all excited with this particular shoe style. The decorative straps and the pointed toe shape are a big no no for me. But I’m sure someone out there would have a soft spot for such style of shoe.
These mary jane shoe is a flat heel pointed toe court shoes with elasticated detail at the back and some silver like metal studs across the strap- where ones eyes are immediately drawn to. For me personally, I don’t see such style of shoe as a grown up footwear. However if you see them differently, they’re priced at €72 from Sagone Chaussure based in France. Also available in black colour in UK Size 4 to 8.5.
