As the saying goes ‘first time for everything’ never heard of micegrey colour before, but these stunning ankle boots are described as that. Years back, one could only dream of fashionable shoes in large sizes but these days that very dream seems to be coming to pass all the time.

Take a good look at these platform ankle boots, a versatile footwear that is not a bad alternative to black coloured ankle boots. At 240 euros, they are on the expensive side, I like the fold over effect with the square toe shaped. Also comes with heel height at 9cm, rubber sole and 1 cm platform heel. I have looked at fashion magazines as of recent and it looks as If big thick looking shoes are in as part of the winter and autumn collection. I know that I can’t envisage such style of shoe complementing me very well, all the same I still decided to feature them because I know that they are fans of thick shoes out there. To me thick shoes looks very masculine and would look better in tailored suits whether trousers or skirts or even jeans.

It features suede trim with white stitch detailing, Velcro straps, elastic insert for a secured fit and 2.5 inches wooden heel. Overall, Gabrielle seems to have a Victorian fee but with a modern touch. If you like these, they’re $229 from Kathryn Kerrigan.

I have problems with fashion magazines offering boot style shoes as summer footwear. My understanding of summer shoes is when you expose your feet for fresh air whilst kicking thick tights and boots to the kerb. And if I was to vote for UGLY SHOE OF THE WEEK, these Hardwork Booties by Blowfish would be my first choice. They look somehow punkish with their button decoration on the outside. As tie-dye design is set to huge this summer, I guess it’s a good way of wearing such trend, if you can’t stand them on clothes.
