I am still coming across lots of knackered work boot including the Dr Martens work boot collections of both short and tall boots over at Long Tall Sally. Given the price range of between £70 to £130 for the tall boots, I personally would not be putting my money on such style of shoes that doesn’t feel elegant enough for me.

All too often, flat boots can fall into the “fashionable, but not really particularly exciting” category, as there is very little one can do with a flat, leather boot, right? Wrong. These ones have a “nubuck” detail on the collar of the boots with the panel design. So whether you think they’re nice or ugly, at least they’re a little bit different. I actually quite like them: those nubuck cuff uppers are what made me notice them, anyway, and I think they’ve managed to make an old standard boot a little more interesting. Few days ago, I featured Victorian inspired ankle boots and today I’ve gone for knee high boots with lace trim from Magnus. As the boot season gets closer by the day, it’s only wise to start thinking of your winter wardrobe. The ribbon lace trim on these boots are as bold as they can possibly be and therefore to maximise on the style you would either wear them with your jeans tucked in or wear them with mini/knee length/ just below the knee type of outfit.

Sofft’s Low Heel ‘Vittoria’ Casual Boot
If I had been asked me to guess where these low heel boots were from, I know I wouldn’t I have said ‘Sofft’. Overall, Sofft brand has a “sensible” image, which doesn’t always translate into beautiful, low heel casual slouch boots. Whist the rubber sole could probably have given the game away, I’m still rather surprised by these. Sofft are also famous for comfort, of course, which is great news for anyone looking for a pair of casual boot for the forthcoming fall season they’ll still be able to walk in by the end of the day. These are a lovely slouch boot which features lace-up detail and a leather fold-over cuff for a sophisticated style and are $183 from Designer Shoes. Available in both wide and medium fit in US Size 6 to 12 including half sizes.
